Will Ohio's special Senate winner be sworn in on Dec 15?
If the winner of the 2026 Ohio U.S. Senate special election is sworn in as a U.S. senator on December 15, 2026 after Issuance and before Dec 16, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes.
Only reporting from any of the Source Agencies qualifies for the purposes of this market. Reports that merely reference prior publications (from before Issuance) do not qualify. Republishing of content originally produced by other sources (e.g., wire services) only qualifies if the content is hosted on the outlet's official platform and the outlet is clearly identified as the publishing entity. Only an oath of office taken on December 15, 2026 qualifies; an oath taken on any other date does not. If Jon Husted wins, being sworn in again for the new term qualifies.
