Will NYC’s rent freeze take effect on October 1?

If New York City’s 0% rent adjustment for both one- and two-year rent-stabilized apartment leases commencing from October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027, takes legal effect, then the market resolves to Yes.

Only reporting from any of the Source Agencies qualifies for the purposes of this market. Reports that merely reference prior publications (from before Issuance) do not qualify.
