Will Trump issue Obamacare rebates before Election Day?
If it is reported by any of the Source Agencies after Issuance and before Nov 3, 2026 that the Trump administration's new federal ACA rebate initiative first reported on September 9, 2026, or a revised or successor implementation of that initiative, has actually issued rebates totaling at least $100 to each of at least 100,000 actual recipients, then the market resolves to Yes.
Only reporting from any of the Source Agencies qualifies for the purposes of this market. Reports that merely reference prior publications (from before Issuance) do not qualify, unless the new article itself explicitly reaffirms the truth of the topic as of the publication date. Republishing of content originally produced by other sources (e.g., wire services) only qualifies if the content is hosted on the outlet's official platform and the outlet is clearly identified as the publishing entity. The market concerns the new federal ACA rebate initiative first reported on September 9, 2026, including a revised or successor implementation. Payments may be made directly or through a government-authorized disbursing agent. Qualifying payments require: At least $100 issued to each of at least 100,000 actual recipients. Payments to the same person under the initiative may be combined. Checks dispatched, electronic transfers released, or equivalent spendable payments issued. Recipients need not cash their checks. The following do NOT qualify: Announcements, authorizations, allocations, planned payments, or counts of eligible people without actual issuance. Routine insurer Medical Loss Ratio rebates, premium tax credit or subsidy reconciliation, or ordinary overpayment refunds.
