Will DOJ formally eliminate the Anti-Weaponization Fund?
·PoliticsIf the U.S. Department of Justice formally terminates the Anti-Weaponization Fund through a legally operative written instrument after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes.
Qualifying instruments include a rescission or replacement of the Attorney General’s order that legally removes the Department’s obligation to establish or operate the Fund, a written modification or termination of the relevant provisions of the Trump v. IRS settlement agreement, or a sworn declaration filed in federal court committing the Department not to establish, fund, or operate the Fund. Statements, testimony, or filings that merely describe the Fund as abandoned or state a present intention not to proceed do not qualify. Only reporting from any of the Source Agencies qualifies for the purposes of this market. Reports that merely reference prior publications (from before Issuance) do not qualify. Republishing of content originally produced by other sources (e.g., wire services) only qualifies if the content is hosted on the outlet's official platform and the outlet is clearly identified as the publishing entity.
