Will the EFTA II discharge petition reach 218 signatures?
If Discharge Petition No. 27's highest official signature count is at least 218 signatures before 12:00 PM ET on Jan 3, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes.
The value is the highest cumulative number of voting Members of the U.S. House of Representatives whose names the Clerk records as signers of Discharge Petition No. 27 at any time before 12:00 PM ET on Jan 3, 2027. The petition concerns the Epstein Files Transparency Act II proposal to give state attorneys general access to Epstein files for state prosecutions and make it easier for survivors to obtain files for civil claims. A signature counts when the Member's name appears on the official list maintained by the Clerk. If the official list reaches at least 218, a later withdrawal does not reverse that attainment. Public support, a cosponsorship, or an announced intention to sign without the Member appearing on the Clerk's official petition list does NOT count. Non-voting Delegates and the Resident Commissioner do not count.
