Will the Kennedy Center be demolished in 2026?
If a listed news source confirms, after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2027, that the Kennedy Center's main building was fully demolished during that period, then the market resolves to Yes.
This must be confirmed, verified, or established as factual by at least one Source Agency. News confirmation is defined as a published article, broadcast segment, or official news report by a Source Agency, that A) explicitly states completed demolition of the Kennedy Center main building occurred, is true, or has been verified, B) based on journalistic investigation, sources, or evidence, and C) presented as factual reporting rather than speculation, rumor, or unverified allegation. Demolition means the above-ground main building, including its structural frame, has been fully torn down. Foundations, subsurface structures, and debris may remain. Interior gutting, partial demolition, removal of building components, or stripping the building to a retained steel frame do not qualify. Plans, announcements, beginning demolition, closure, fencing, and work on the REACH or other campus structures do not qualify.
