If a bill increasing the number of Supreme Court seats above nine has become law after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2030, then the market resolves to Yes.

The law must be signed by the President, become law without the President's signature, or become law through veto override. A bill that the President vetoes, including by pocket veto, without an override does NOT count. A qualifying law increases the number of Justices of the Supreme Court above nine, the number set by 28 U.S.C. 1. The increase must take effect before Jan 1, 2030; the added seats need not be filled. Only Justices who hear the Court's appellate cases count, so a term-limits or staggered-appointment law qualifies only if it provides for more than nine Justices hearing the Court's appellate cases before Jan 1, 2030; Justices in senior status, or who hear only original-jurisdiction cases, do not count. A law that changes only the Court's jurisdiction, procedures, ethics rules or term limits, adds seats to lower courts, or proposes a constitutional amendment fixing the Court's size does NOT qualify. The law may be any vehicle, including a larger package whose enacted text contains a qualifying increase.
