Will GTA VI preorders be reported
If Take-Two Interactive or Rockstar Games publicly disclose a numeric figure for Grand Theft Auto VI preorders before Aug 14, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes.
The announcement must be made through official company channels including press releases, SEC filings (8-K, 10-K, 10-Q), earnings calls, investor presentations, verified social media accounts, or official statements to media subsequently confirmed by the company. CEO statements through official channels qualify. Rumors, speculation, unconfirmed reports, leaked information, third-party announcements without company confirmation, and preliminary discussions do not qualify. The announcement must occur after market issuance. Companies are tracked through rebranding and name changes representing the same business entity. Qualifying Announcements include: An exact figure (e.g., "5.2 million preorders," "$450 million in preorder value") An approximated or rounded figure accompanied by qualifying language such as "approximately," "roughly," "around," "nearly," "over," "more than," or "up to," provided a specific number is stated (e.g., "roughly 5 million preorders," "over $450 million in sales") A bounded numeric range (e.g., "between 4 and 5 million preorders") Non-Qualifying Announcements may include but are not limited to: Superlative or comparative claims without an accompanying figure (e.g., "record-breaking," "highest preorders in company history," "strongest launch ever") Vague magnitude language without a number (e.g., "massive demand," "unprecedented interest," "exceeded expectations") Percentage-only comparisons without a base figure (e.g., "preorders up 300% over RDR2" does not qualify unless RDR2's base figure or the resulting absolute number is also stated in the same disclosure)
