If the FIFA Council decides at its December 2026 meeting to discontinue the FIFA Peace Prize after Issuance and before Jan 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes.

Only reporting from FIFA, the Associated Press, or Reuters qualifies for the purposes of this market. Reports that merely reference prior publications (from before Issuance) do not qualify. Republishing of content originally produced by other sources (e.g., wire services) only qualifies if the content is hosted on the outlet's official platform and the outlet is clearly identified as the publishing entity. The FIFA Peace Prize is discontinued if the Council decides that it will end or no longer be awarded, including by replacing it with a separate, differently named award. A prize that FIFA describes as the FIFA Peace Prize continuing, including with new eligibility rules such as excluding politicians, a changed focus or a new name, is not discontinued, and neither is a pause or a skipped year. Committee recommendations and speculation do not qualify.
