A lawsuit or another formal adversarial legal process, such as an administrative complaint, pre-complaint discovery, or an arbitration claim, is encompassed by the Payout Criterion. The qualifying process must be brought by the Federal Trade Commission against YouTube LLC, Google LLC, Alphabet Inc., or another entity responsible for YouTube and must concern YouTube account suspension, account termination, demonetization, or related content-enforcement practices. An investigation, public inquiry, subpoena or civil investigative demand that does not itself begin a formal adversarial legal process, internal authorization, threatened action, settlement discussion, or unrelated FTC matter does NOT qualify.
